I received Jesus Christ as my Savior at the age of five in Sunday school. I witnessed to my church of Jesus’ love for me through baptism at the age of eight. My church had annual missionary conferences. I dedicated my life to be a missionary at the age of 13. An adult in my church promised to pray for me.
Detroit Bible College granted me a bachelor’s degree. My last year of college, I met Frank McConnell, who also made his life goal to be a missionary. We began our missionary journey with Helps International Ministries. We traveled many places to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
During our missionary walk, I took two years to gain a master’s degree in education.
After many years of teaching in a variety of places, my husband and I made our way to Weatherford, Texas. It was natural to move from talking about God on the mission field to talking about God in the classroom at Victory Baptist Academy.
